Although quantum information technology is developing at a very rapid pace worldwide, Korea has a weak R&D base such as professional manpower and infrastructure.
The center will contribute to the expansion of the base of the domestic quantum research field and the leap of capacity by fostering manpower and establishing infrastructure to create a domestic quantum information science research ecosystem.
-
First
To foster human resources, we will support overseas training and provide educational programs for future talent inflow to new research personnel.
-
Second
We will expand support for quantum fab process utilization for quantum device production and support for quantum computer cloud utilization for research and education purposes.
The arrival of quantum information technology, referred to as the Second Quantum Revolution, is expected to open up a future that has never been imagined before, and concerns about success coexist with high technological difficulties.
At this point, the center will do its best to gather domestic research capabilities and act as a hub for quantum technology so that we can become a quantum technology powerhouse as soon as possible.
