Role and Responsibilities
You will be joining a team of researchers focused on helping academic, industry, and research partners utilize IBM Quantum’s leading quantum computing hardware and software solutions in a variety of business and research domains. Our primary mission is to uplift the skills and technical competency of our partners via content that boosts the enablement, readiness, and awareness of IBM Quantum’s hardware and software services. Additionally, we engage with our partners in the development of proof-of-concept implementations of quantum solutions, and aid in the development of software that implements those solutions.
As an Enabling Technologies Researcher, you will play an essential role in driving Partner adoption of IBM Quantum services, both inside and outside of Korea. You will be responsible for helping Partners utilize the full stack of IBM Quantum services via training, technical demonstrations, and proof-of-concept generation. Team members should be “power users” of IBM Quantum services and are expected to be competent with new and updated services as they come online via research projects and other technical formats.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Ph.D. in physics, computer science, chemistry, engineering, or similar educational background
• Working knowledge of quantum computing as demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications and open-source software contributions (e.g., Github / Gitlab projects and Pull requests)
• In depth experience using IBM Quantum systems and the Qiskit SDK
• Previous experience with open-source software projects and version control, such as git and GitHub
• Proficient written and oral communication skills in English and Korean
Preferred Expertise
• Domain specific knowledge in one or more quantum applications areas e.g., chemistry, finance, machine learning, and optimization
• Experience with client facing technical presentations
• Organized, with exceptional project management skills
