As was announced via the IBM Quantum Blog, the IBM Quantum Platform (IQP) will be upgraded to deliver 

an improved enterprise-grade cloud experience. As part of this upgrade, IQP will more seamlessly integrate 

with IBM Cloud. This shift is key in IBM providing new features and continuing to scale along the IBM Quantum Roadmap.

The migration process is already underway and while much of this will happen between IBM and us, the account administrators, there are a few activities to be aware of which require your attention.

1. As part of the migration process you will receive an email invitation to join the IBM Cloud account. Once this is received, please click the link to accept the invitation.

  1) If there is already a cloud account associated with the invited email this will be used

  2) If not, you will need to create a User ID on IBM Cloud at this time

  3) Note that by joining our organization’s account, you are not required to provide a payment method       

      (i.e.,   a credit card) like individual accounts require

2. Once you create your account, please wait for further guidance before beginning to run jobs and transition to the new platform (https://quantum.cloud.ibm.com/)

3. Once given the go-ahead to transition, the following actions will be necessary to update your code:

  1) Generate a new API key via the platform

  2) Set the token to this new API key

  3) Set the channel to ibm_cloud

  4) Set the instance to the correct instance-CRN retrieved from the platform
